KARACHI:

The lawyers boycotted legal proceedings to condemn the alleged targeted killing of their colleague, Ehsan Araien, in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The Sindh Bar Council had called for a province-wide strike to protest the murder of 50-year-old Araien.

In response, the members of the Sindh High Court Bar Association stayed away from courts.

The members of the association demanded that the government provide security to the law professionals. Meanwhile, lawyers at the City Courts, Malir District Courts and other tribunals also boycotted legal proceedings.
