Sector i-12: ‘Construction work on roads soon’
ISLAMABAD:
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will soon start construction work on major roads in Sector I-12 at a cost of Rs358 million. The contract for the construction work will be awarded after opening of a tender on January 15, said a press release. CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal said the present regime has prioritised development work in stalled sectors to meet the shortage of residential units in the capital. He said the pre-qualification for Sector I-15 is in the final stages and work will soon begin. Afzal further said the authority has also taken measures to complete the remaining work in sectors I-14, I-16 and D-12. “Besides developing the stalled sectors, new sectors will also be opened to overcome the shortage of housing units in Islamabad,” he said.
