National Action Plan: PM convenes high-level meeting on Thursday
Army chief, DG ISI are also expected to attend the meeting

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has convened a follow up meeting on the implementation of National Action Plan on countering terrorism and extremism at the PM’s House on January 1, 2015.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, DG Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General Rizwan Akhtar, Federal Ministers Khwaja Asif, Ishaq Dar, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rashid, Abdul Qadir Baloch and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi are expected to attend the meeting.
According to an official statement, the prime minister has decided to regularly convene these follow up meetings to ensure swift implementation of the plan.
According to sources, the civil-military leadership will discuss the progress on the establishment of military courts and the stance of various political parties on the issue. Sources added that before laying the proposed bill of the establishment of military courts in National Assembly, both civilian and military leadership will discuss the matter in detail.
