Attack on office: FESCO workers demand action against attackers
FAISALABAD:
Dozens of the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company employees on Tuesday gave police 24 hours to arrest suspects who had attacked the company’s Faizabad office last week.
A mob had attacked the office and beat up FESCO staff for removing two meters after their owners were found stealing electricity.
Ghulam Muhammadabad police have registered a case against six people. However, none of them have been taken into custody. Raja Ali Nawaz Khan, the FESCO Engineers’ Association general secretary, said that if the Ghulam Muhammadabad police did not arrest the suspects, they would cut off their electricity supply. The SHO said they were looking for the suspects.
