Winter’s woes: Residents of G-sectors demand end to gas load-shedding
Traders, locals say would take to streets if issue is not resolved.
ISLAMABAD:
Residents and traders in sectors G-9, G-10 and G-11 have demanded an end to hours-long gas load-shedding.
Residents said some sectors were getting full supply were other were facing continuous shortage. They demanded an equal policy for all sectors.
The load-shedding is affecting the households as well as businesses. Locals and the businessmen said they would take to streets if the authorities failed to restore the supply.
People said the load-shedding had disrupted their routine as they could not cook meals or send children to schools at time. Similarly, traders say the load-shedding has also affected their businesses. They demanded an immediate solution to the issues.
Owners of restaurants, eateries and tuck shops said they were forced to stay closed for long hours every day, which was causing losses of thousands of rupees.
“Other sectors are being provided the utility round the clock, why are we being discriminated against,” said a Sajjad Ali, a local.
