Nine couples got married in a mass wedding ceremony in Shadhani Darbar, Hayat Pitafi, near Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki, on the third and final day of the birth anniversary of Sat Guru Saant Shadharam on Monday night. Mass wedding is the most important aspect of the three-day celebrations, which is aimed at providing dowry and other expenses to the poor and needy couples whose parents could otherwise not afford these expenditures. Dowry items and money is provided by the affluent people and poor and needy parents wait for these annual celebrations to marry their children off.
