In Court: Six men remanded to police custody
KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday remanded six men to police custody till January 7 next year in a murder case. The police produced the accused, Nadeem, Zubair Ayub, Azharuddin, Abid Ali, Zeeshan and Ubaidur Rehman, before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court to allow the physical remand of the accused as the police wanted to trace their connections and their accomplices in the crime. The court accepted the request and remanded the accused to police custody till January 7. All six men were accused of killing a man, Kamran Hussain, and injuring another, Zeeshan, on November 29 within the jurisdiction of the Korangi police.
