Highway ambush: Two killed as trailer comes under fire
Two people sustains serious bullet wounds as a result of firing

At least two persons were shot dead by assailants on the Coastal Highway near Pasni area of Gwadar on Tuesday. According to an official of Balochistan Levies, armed men on motorbikes opened fire on a trailer carrying fertilizer from Gwadar to Karachi near Shadi Khor area. Two people sustained serious bullet wounds as a result of firing. “Two men inside the trailer died on the spot while one sustained bullet wounds,” Arif Haleem, a Levies official said. The attackers escaped from the scene unchallenged. Security forces rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased and injured to nearby District Headquarters Hospital. The deceased were identified as Ishaq and Afzal and the injured as Adnan. “Three of them belonged to Jhang area of Punjab province,” medics in the hospital said. Later, the bodies were shifted to their native district for burial. Security forces have lodged the First Information Report (FIR) against assailants and investigations are under way.
