Road Accident: Senator escapes with minor injuries

HYDERABAD: Senator Humayun Khan Mandokhel sustained minor injuries in a road accident in Tharparkar on Tuesday. His friend, Shahid Ali Siddiqi, who was driving the car, was killed. The incident took place when the senator was returning after a visit to a coalfield near Islamkot tehsil. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital, Mithi, and from there to Karachi. Mandokhel, who hails from Balochistan, told the media that his friend fell out of the car’s window after the vehicle overturned as Siddiqi swerved to avoid hitting a dog. “He was a good friend. He was always eager to visit Tharparkar and had come with great interest.”
