Training workshop says government should protect rights of home-based workers
FAISALABAD:
The government should take effective measures to monitor brick kilns and factories for ensuring the implementation of existing labour laws in letter and spirit. Speakers at a training workshop titled Enhancing Awareness on Women’s Rights and Labour Laws said on Monday. They said that the government should protect rights of home-based workers, domestic workers and ensure maternity benefits through ratification and implementation of ILO conventions C-177, C-189 & C 183, respectively.
