Nawaz asks CM Punjab to beef-up security of foreign investors in province

Chief minister also briefed the premier about the security arrangements of jails where terrorists are to be executed

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to beef-up the security of foreign investors in Punjab in the wake of the Peshawar school attack and executions of the terrorists in different jails of the province.

During the meeting held in Raiwind on Sunday, “chief minister gave premier a detailed briefing about the security arrangements of the jails in the province where terrorists are to be executed. The executions will continue in the coming week and law enforcing agencies would be keep deployed outside jails along with police for security reasons,” a senior Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader requesting anonymity told The Express Tribune.

Vice Minister of Communist Party of China calls on Shahbaz

Vice Minister International Department of the central committee of the Communist Party of China Chen Fengziang called on the chief minister in Lahore.

During the meeting matters of mutual interest, promotion of bilateral relations and strengthening of mutual contacts between PML-N and the Communist Party of China were discussed in the meeting.

Expressing his gratitude for the love and hospitality that have been extended to his delegations, Fengziang said he is very happy to visit Lahore.


He also appreciated the measures for the welfare and betterment of masses.

Meeting with the parliamentarians

During the day, the chief minister also held meeting with different parliamentarians.

Terming the attack on Army Public School in Peshawar the worst incident of terrorism, the chief minister said that those who have martyred innocent children a stigma on society.

Shahbaz said that the elements that have attacked the future of the country deserve maximum punishment.

The blood of those who have sacrificed their lives for the country will not go in vein and the nefarious designs of the enemies of peace and the country will be thwarted with the force of unity, he added.

The chief minister also reiterated his resolve to root the terrorists from the country.
