No go: Emirates suspends operations from BKIA
PESHAWAR:
Emirates has suspended operations from Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) indefinitely. Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials told The Express Tribune the carrier has cancelled flights to and from BKIA once again and is yet to give a reason for the suspension. “So far we only have preliminary information,” one of the officials said, adding a flight scheduled for Peshawar was diverted to the federal capital. Emirates had suspended operations back in June following an attack on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft carrying 178 passengers on the BKIA runway.
