DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said on Tuesday that fair price Christmas Bazaars would be set up in various areas of Faisalabad.
He said the bazaars would be established at the Saint Anthony School in Christian Town, Pinto Ground in Maryamabad Warispura, Madina Town Catholic Church, Chak Jhumra Grains Market, Tandlianwala’s Bilal Shaheed Park, Sammundri Liaquat Park Christian Colony and Jaranwala Chowk Masjid Bazaar. Mengal said the initiative had been taken to provide people from the Christian community with staples including flour, sugar, ghee, pulses, beverages and fruits at reduced rates on the occasion of Christmas.
Mengal said district officials would inspect the bazaars to ensure that subsidised necessities were available at the bazaars. The bazaars would start functioning on December 23 and would be open till the Christmas Eve.
