Nabbed Another: Faisalabad violence suspect arrested

A police team on Saturday arrested another suspect of the December 8 violence case.



Requesting anonymity, a police official said Imran Sharif was arrested after being identified from video footage of the clashes between PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) activists.


Late on Friday, police had arrested six people from the local office of Jamatud Dawa (JuD) adjacent to Nishatabad Bridge. As many as 17 people have been taken into custody so far. “We are questioning the suspects to determine their role in the violence,” the police official said.


The main suspect in the violence has not been arrested so far. The government has announced Rs5 million for information leading to his identification.
