LAHORE:

A commission issued notices on Friday to Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA Ayaz Sadiq asking them to become part of the inspection of polling record of NA-122. Judge Ghulam Hussain Awan asked them to make sure they were represented at a meeting at courts on December 15. The RO of the constituency and ECP officials will attend the meeting.

An election tribunal had ordered the inspection on an application by Imran Khan.

Akhtar Rasool, runner-up from PP-148, filed requested an election tribunal to be party in the inspection of the constituency’s record. He said the tribunal had summoned Aslam Iqbal, the returned candidate, on an application requesting inspection. However he had not received a similar notice.

So if the speaker of the National Assembly is found to have won his seat fraudulently what does that say about the Assembly proceedings including the prime minister's selection? Dr. Qadri is right. This whole democracy is a sham.
