Drought-affected Thar: Death toll rises to 550

Two newborn sons of Pehlaj and Zakaullah die in Civil Hospital, Mithi

HYDERABAD: Four more children have reportedly died in the drought-affected area of Tharparkar where the death toll has reached 550. Two newborn sons of Pehlaj and Zakaullah died in Civil Hospital, Mithi while the third death was reported from Chachro’s Kheharho village where six-month-old Muhammad Ameen passed away. According to sources, another newborn died in Chachro’s Katey Ji Vairee village but his name and age could not be ascertained.
