Cricket tournament: Security for Kenya team’s visit

LAHORE:
Police Inspector General Mushtaq Sukhera and Home Secretary Azam Suleman visited Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday to review security arrangements ahead of Kenya’s national cricket team’s visit to Lahore. The cricket team arrives on Wednesday (today). The IGP issued directions to the CCPO to ensure vigilant patrolling in and around the stadium. Walk-through gates will be installed and all visitors will be frisked at the entrance.  CTO Tayyab Cheema said 550 traffic wardens will perform duty at the stadium and the team’s route from the stadium to the hotel. At least 1,000 policemen will be deployed.
