Poisoned: Landlord arrested for ‘killing’ servant
BAHAWALPUR:
A landlord allegedly killed his servant by giving him poison. Laal Khan, a resident of Mehmood Shah Nawa village, told the media his son Haq Nawaz worked at Hamid’s* house. He said the landlord believed that Nawaz had developed illicit relations with a woman in his house.
“Hamid along with Muhammad Shahid and Muhammad Fahad first beat up Nawaz and then forced him into drinking a poison,” Khan said. He said they later took Nawaz to Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan saying that he had tried to commit suicide. Nawaz died at the hospital. The Khanpur Saddar SHO said they had arrested Hamid.
The name has been changed to protect identity.
