Faisalabad Shutdown: Forceful closure won’t be allowed, says CM Shahbaz

Shahbaz said the people, staging the sit-in, have caused great loss to the country

LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday warned that the government will not tolerate any forceful closure of businesses and promised to make every effort to protect traders.

“Security of businesses should be ensured and people who try to shut down businesses forcefully should be dealt with indiscriminately according to the law,” said Shahbaz while chairing a high-level meeting.

Later talking to National Party leader Gahram Shah, Shahbaz said the people, staging the sit-in, have caused great loss to the country. “The [PTI] shutdown call is based on an anti-Pakistan agenda. The sit-in protesters should act more rationally,” he said.
