Lesco CEO Rao Zameer suspended for poor performance
ISLAMABAD:
The Ministry of Water and Power on Saturday said that the chief executive officers of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) and the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) have been suspended.
A spokesperson for the ministry said that Lesco CEO Rao Zameer had been suspended for poor performance.
The official added that Pesco CEO Pervaiz Shah had also been removed.
No further explanation for the move was provided by the ministry.
According to data made available by the ministry, estimated load-shedding in the country for the past week stood at 1,390MW per day.
