Public health: Dialysis centre, emergency ward opened at SKZMC

Sheikh Zayed Medical College Board of Governors chairman Chaudhry Munir Hidayatullah on Saturday inaugurated an emergency ward and a dialysis centre.



Talking to newsmen on the occasion, he said the dialysis centre had been built at a cost of Rs15 million.

He said it was equipped with 10 new dialysis machines and a reverse osmosis system. He said the facility could cater to 16 patients at a time.

He said the hospital was visited by hundreds of patients from Sindh, Balochistan and south Punjab. The hospital has been upgraded over several years. “We want to make the hospital a state-of-the-art facility,” he said. “Soon, it will be among best-equipped hospitals of the country.” Officials from the district administration and senior hospital staff was also present at the ceremony.
