Gujranwala court hears Sialkot lynching case

Sialkot DPO requests court to allow hearing of Sialkot lynching case to be conducted in jail due to security concerns.

Bilal Siddique, the DPO Sialkot, on Monday requested the court to allow the hearing of the Sialkot lynching case to be conducted within the jail due to security concerns.

All 27 accused in the lynching case were presented before the special court in Gujranwala that is hearing the case.


The court recorded the statements of three witnesses, sanitary worker Riaz, constable Afzal and the CMO of the Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital Dr Farooq. The court adjourned the hearing till November 27th.

The three doctors who had conducted the second post mortem of the two brothers who were killed in the lynching incident failed to appear before the court.
