Anti-Narcotics Force seizes 2,000kg hashish in Karachi raid
Suspected drug smuggler arrested in raid near Karachi's Super Highway
KARACHI:
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 2,000 kilogrammes (kg) of hashish and 12kg of amphetamine from a truck in a raid conducted near Super Highway in Karachi, Express News reported on Friday.
The truck driver - suspected to be a drug smuggler - was arrested by ANF team right on the spot.
Just recently, officials of ANF thwarted an attempt to smuggle heroin out of the country and recovered 10kg of high-quality contraband from the domestic departure lounge of Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
The drugs were found concealed behind the air conditioner in the domestic lounge of the airport.
