Gunfight: Five suspected robbers arrested

Robbers open fire, gunfight last for around three hours in Jarma, Saddar

KOHAT: Five suspected robbers were arrested following a shoot-out with the police in Muslimabad area of Kohat on Wednesday. DSP Sona Khan said they were informed about the presence of a gang of robbers in the area after which Jarma and Saddar police carried out a raid. As soon as the police arrived, the robbers opened fire and the ensuing gunfight last for around three hours. The DSP said some officials then managed to arrest the robbers and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from them. The suspects were identified as Muhammad Pervaiz, Aurangzeb, Qadir, Gul Wali and Noor Saeed. Four AK-47s, four hand grenades, a pistol, six magazines, binoculars and a hundred rounds of bullets were seized from their possession.
