False implications?: Physically impaired man takes police to court
Court directed the lawyer to file an application in the ATC to quash the FIR against both the petitioners
SUKKUR:
The Sindh High Court (SHC) Sukkur bench has directed a physically impaired person to file an application in the anti-terrorism court (ATC) to quash an FIR registered against him by the Kandhra police over his alleged involvement in a sectarian clash.
The petitioner’s lawyer told the court that one of his clients was physically impaired while the other was a minor. Both had, however, been implicated in the FIR over a sectarian clash. After hearing the petition, the court directed the lawyer to file an application in the ATC to quash the FIR against both the petitioners. The judge also directed the police not to harass the petitioners, adding that if the ATC did not quash the FIR, the case should be brought before the SHC again.
