At Gunpoint : Woman seeks forced conversion case

LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Nishtar Colony SHO on a petition filed by a Christian woman seeking the registration of a case against some people she accused of forcing her to embrace Islam at gunpoint. The petitioner told the court that she was abducted by a man on November 8 who forced her to sign blank papers on gunpoint. She said the man and a prayer leader had prepared a fake nikah nama and raped her for several days. She said the man had forced her at gunpoint to recite the kalma even though she did not want to. She later managed to escape and found out that three other people were involved in her abduction and forced conversion. She said she had gone to Nishtar Colony police but the SHO had not registered a case. She requested the court to direct him to register a case against the suspects.
