Public health: Crackdown ordered against illegal blood transfusions
BAHAWALPUR:
Bahawalpur Commissioner Captain (r) Javed Akbar on Monday ordered a crackdown action against those illegally providing blood for transfusions.
He was addressing a meeting to review health facilities in Bahawalpur.
The commissioner said the government was taking steps to provide missing facilities at hospitals and schools.
He said hospitals should ensure purchase of quality medicines.
“We will not let anyone play with lives of people by selling substandard medicines,” he said.
The commissioner said hospital administrations should conduct special checks to ensure attendance of doctors.
