Two new polio cases surface in FATA
Polio type-I virus was confirmed in two children; both of them belonging to Khyber Agency

Two new polio cases were reported from Khyber Agency of Fata on Monday, raising the total number of cases reported from across the country to 270.
According to NIH sources, presence of Polio type-I virus was confirmed in two children; both of them belonging to Khyber Agency.
The first was an 11-month-old boy from Achini Nehar village of Bara, Khyber Agency, whereas the second was a 12-year-old girl from the same locality.
Both had missed anti-polio vaccine.
Out of the total 270 cases countrywide, 165 are from Fata, 59 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, three from Punjab, 27 from Sindh and 16 from Balochistan.
