Forging alliances: Begum Nasim Wali visits Nine Zero

Altaf Hussain and Begum Wali reminisced old days and their political endeavours in the past

LONDON:

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain welcomed the chairperson of the Awami National Party - Wali, Begum Nasim Wali Khan and other leaders at the party's headquarters, Nine Zero, on Monday.

The two politicians reminisced old days and their political endeavours in the past. The ANP-Wali general secretary told the MQM chief that he had been the president of the Pakhtun Students Federation in 1982 when the MQM was rising.

"That was the beginning of the All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organisation and we spent many good days together," he recalled.

Another ANP-Wali leader Kansi said, "Your people are living a life of peace and dignity because of your struggles. We have come to Nine Zero with Bacha Khan's message of peace," he said. To this, the MQM chief responded: "Together, we will spread Bacha Khan's message of non-violence and peace."
