Security lapse: 5 media persons injured in attack
Two men riding motorcycle throw cracker bombs at vans of Dunya News and Dawn News while returning from PTI rally

Despite heightened security, culprits on Sunday managed to infiltrate into the capital and carried out cracker attacks, in which five media persons got injured. According to rescue officials, two men riding a motorcycle threw two cracker bombs at the Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) vans of Dunya News and Dawn News near the Faizabad Bridge, when they were returning from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rally. The police said the victims suffered minor injuries while the culprits managed to escape soon after the attack. The victims are identified as Nadir Hussain, 39, Amir Ishfaq, 34, Mohsin Ali, 25, Ziaul Haq, 38, and Suleman Mubarak, 31.
