Terror threat: Security beefed up in city

LAHORE:
Security was put on high alert in the city after intelligence reports warned of a possible terrorist attack. Police raided several areas and took 50 suspects into custody. Operations DIG Dr Haidar Ashraf issued the directives to beef up security after the Intelligence Bureau warned that suicide bombers could try to carry out attacks. Police have been directed to increase surveillance at entrances to the city. Security has also been increased at government installations.
