Deadly Ambition: Two arrested for killing father
FAISALABAD:
Sandal Bar police on Saturday arrested two men accused of murder. CPO Sohail Habib Tajik told a press conference that Rana Muhammad Sadiq of Chak 59-JB was killed on September 11. He said Sadiq was the owner of a brick kiln, three flour mills and 75 acres agriculture land. His sons Asif Sadiq and Wasif Sadiq had asked their father for a share in the property but he refused. He said Asif and Wasif hired Ghulam Abbas and Kashif through Muneer Ahmad who was also working on the kiln. They shot dead Sadiq at a mosque near the kiln and fled. The CPO said police initially Sadiq’s was a sectarian killing and a number of people were taken into custody for investigation. He said Muneer was also taken into custody. He said he confessed during interrogation. The CPO announced cash prizes of Rs50,000 and appreciation letters for the members of the police team found him.
