Demanding Rights: NADRA employees stage demonstration
KARACHI:
Employees of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club on Saturday, demanding proper service structures and other privileges that they are entitled to. The executive offices of NADRA which operate on Saturday were closed due to the protest and all the staff members had reached the protest organised by the All Pakistan NADRA Employees Union, Karachi. The protesters, which included female and disabled staffers of NADRA, were holding banners and placards upholding their demands. “We want proper service structure, medical panel and house rent allowance like the other employees of the federal government,” said the association’s general secretary, Salman Zubairi.
