Agitation: Plea seeking treason case disposed of

Petitioner had alleged that Ahmad in his speeches had provoked people to challenge the writ of the state

LAHORE: A Lahore High Court (LHC) full bench on Friday disposed of a petition seeking registration of a treason case against Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad for inciting people to violence. A law officer told Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan that a similar case had already been registered against the AML chief. Imtiaz Goraya, a citizen, had filed the petition through Advocate Asad Manzoor Butt saying that Ahmad in his speeches had provoked people to challenge the writ of the state.
