Fatal plunge: Three children die in road accident

The driver had fled after the accident

Rescue 1122 said on Friday that three children died 20 were injured after a school bus plunged into a drain in the Kahna area.


Jam Sajjad of Rescue 1122 said the bus was carrying over 60 students and teachers.

He said the bus had fallen in a drain after the driver had lost control of the vehicle. Sajjad said they had taken those injured to Lahore General Hospital.

An official from the Kahna police station said police was interviewing the school’s principal and staff. He said the driver had fled after the accident. The official said it had been suggested that he was a drug addict. He said a team was being constituted to nab him.
