Robbery victim awaits justice
.

The federal police's old practice of underreporting crime appears to persist, with even serious offences like kidnapping and robbery allegedly going unregistered. Officials at Karachi Company Police Station reportedly kept the complainant running from pillar to post, and an FIR has yet to be lodged in a case of armed robbery that occurred on Chand Raat.
According to details, a citizen, Muhammad Faris, submitted an application at Karachi Company Police Station, stating that he was returning home from his office on Chand Raat when a Corolla car intercepted him near Peshawar Morr within the station's jurisdiction. Two armed men stepped out, held him at gunpoint and snatched his mobile phones and wallet.
The suspects then forcibly removed Faris from his vehicle and made him sit in their car. He alleged that the robbers demanded his ATM PIN and withdrew over Rs400,000 from his bank account before fleeing.
The victim said he immediately informed the police and submitted a complaint, making multiple visits to the station since then, but neither has a case been registered nor have the suspects been arrested.
Attempts to contact the Station House Officer of Karachi Company Police Station went unanswered, while a police spokesperson confirmed that an FIR has not yet been registered.
