Sharjeel slams Imran for ‘abusive language’
Dares the PTI leader to prove his rigging allegations against PPP
KARACHI:
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, while criticising PTI chief Imran Khan’s censure of his party leader Asif Ali Zardari, warned that Imran's “abusive” language could lead to an adverse situation if Pakistan Peoples Party enthusiasts reacted.
“It looks like Imran Khan has done his PhD in indecent language” he said in a statement issued on Thursday. The information minister added that Imran should be given the award for ‘jhoot’ (lying). He dared the PTI leader to prove his rigging allegations against PPP.
Memon added that people of Pakistan have rejected PTI leader’s demand to start civil disobedience by not paying utility bills and taxes in the country.
“This is very unfortunate that Imran Khan is trying to prove the wrongdoings of the government by using derogatory language. He should mind his language and respect the politicians and follow the democratic norms,” he said.
According to Sharjeel Memon, conspiracies have always been hatched by dictators against democratic governments through their agents. “He is now trying to become a champion of democracy, but people cannot forget his role as chief election agent of General Pervez Musharraf,” he recalled.
He warned Imran Khan to stop his verbal abuse against PPP leaders including Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari otherwise jayalas of the party would react and the situation could spiral out of control.
