LAHORE: Two health workers were beaten up in Lahore while carrying out polio vaccination campaign on Thursday, Express News reported.

Identified as Tehseen and Sunny, the workers were tortured when they went to administer polio drops to a house in Ravi Town.

The head of the house reportedly had an argument with the vaccination team which turned into a scuffle when other people from the neighbourhood joined in.

Sources told Express News that police were not registering a case against the culprits because of the involvement of certain influential people.
