Explosion: Bomb damages railway track

Some trains were also stopped at Nawabshah and Tando Adam railway stations

SHAHDADPUR:
A bomb explosion damaged Pakistan Railway's main track in Shahdadpur on Wednesday morning. The blast, which occurred at Berani railway crossing at about 3 am, affected traffic on the downward track for three hours. Some trains were also stopped at Nawabshah and Tando Adam railway stations. The explosion, heard across the town, caused a five-foot-wide crater at the site. It occurred around 15 minutes after the Karachi-bound Sukkur Express crossed the site and 30 minutes after the Jacobabad-bound Sukkur Express passed. No loss of life was reported. According to DSP Ishtiaq Ahmed Arain, a high-level investigation into the incident will be conducted.
