Held up by sit-ins: FBR to discuss officers’ promotions
Promotions of 85 officers of BPS-18 to be decided on Nov 26
ISLAMABAD:
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is likely to take up the promotion of its officers on Wednesday, officials said. The meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) will be held on November 26 to decide the promotions of 85 officers of BPS-18 to 19, they said. The meeting which was due to be held three months ago was rescheduled four times due to non-availability of Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) besides uncertain political situation. Reliable sources in the board told Express Investigation Cell that the meeting of DPC was scheduled in August but was postponed apparently due to sit-ins of PAT and PTI at the Constitutional Avenue in front of FBR gates.
