Healthy cops: Policemen compete in sports festival
SHEIKHUPURA:
The fourth inter-zonal sports festival of the National Highways and Motorway Police started at the NHMP training college. The festival will end on November 29. Competitions in volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, table tennis, badminton, tug-of-war, shot put, shooting and athletics were held.
Five teams participated on the first day. DIG Training Halena Saeed, SSP Munir Marth and Deputy Commandant SSP Khurram Shezad were also present on the occasion. Commandant DIG Ehsan Sadiq inaugurated the sports festival by lighting a torch. All teams presented a march past. DIG Ehsan Sadiq said in his address that sports activities were vital for a healthy police force.
