Assaulting police personnel: ATC remands two suspects

ATC-III judge sent Ghulam Mustafa and Muhammad Raheel to police custody on physical remand until November 30

KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court-III (ATC-III) on Monday remanded two suspects to police custody for allegedly assaulting police personnel with the intention to kill them. ATC-III judge Saleem Raza Baloch sent Ghulam Mustafa and Muhammad Raheel to police custody on physical remand until November 30. According to the Mauripur police, the suspects were arrested after an encounter on Hawke's Bay Road and two pistols and two hand grenades were seized from their possession. Their accomplice, identified as Akbar alias Pappu Pager, managed to flee. Three FIRs were registered against the suspects under Sections 324 and 353 of the Pakistan Penal Code, Sections 4 and 5 of the Explosive Substance Act and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
