Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman held his Grand Jirga address in Islamabad on Saturday, emphasising on the support given to Pakistan by tribal regions, Express News reported.
Addressing his party supporters, the leader spoke on the tribal regions and reiterated that the tribes of these regions had always fought for Pakistan's security and survival.
The jirga, he said, would aim to give suggestions to address the problems being faced by the tribal regions.
"Decisions about our future should not be taken without our consultations," the leader said, adding that, decisions should be taken in a positive environment.
The JUI-F leader survived a suicide bombing attack during the party's political gathering on October 24. This was the third attempt on Maulana Fazl's life since 2011.
