Plan in offing: Special kids’ access to schools being increased
CADD minister says meeting to be convened for devising strategy to bring special children into social mainstream
ISLAMABAD:
The government is laying a framework with the United Nations Educational and Scientific Cultural Organisation to increase special children’s access to schools.
He said the government was giving special importance to social welfare projects and substantial steps have been taken for education and training of special children.
The minister further stressed that special children could be a constructive part in the country’s development .

Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Minister of State Usman Ibrahim said this while speaking at the National Special Education Centre for Mentally Challenged Children on the occasion of Universal Children’s Day.
He said it was the collective responsibility of the government and society to rehabilitate special persons to make them productive citizens.
Ibrahim said a meeting will be convened next week for devising a strategy to bring special children into the social mainstream.
