Education for all: 35 girls’ schools upgraded in Balochistan

At least 35 girls’ schools have been upgraded in three districts of Balochistan under the five-year Balochistan Education Program (BEP), Save the Children, an NGO working on child health and education in the province, told participants at the end of the BEP closing ceremony in Quetta.
The organisers said the focus of the programme over the last five years was three districts—Mastung, Killa Abdullah and Quetta. Under this programme, 25 girls’ schools have been upgraded from primary level to middle level, 10 girls’ schools have been upgraded from middle to high level, 105 Early Childhood Education centers have been developed and 200 schools have been provided missing facilities.

Save the Children with the financial support of the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has successfully implemented BEP in collaboration with the Balochistan education department.
