A police constable was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Wadpaga village on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday. Police said the deceased, Syed Arshad Ali Shah, was a police constable who had been assigned to guard the local Shia mosque and imambargah. He himself belonged to the sect. A police official said initial reports suggest the attack was a target killing incident with sectarian motives.
