Crime diary: Three die in separate incidents in AJK
MUZAFFARABAD:
A 40-year-old woman committed suicide in Muzaffarabad and two others were killed in road accidents in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Police say a married woman Sakhi Jan died after she consumed a poisonous powder in Bahardi Basri village, some 35 kilometres from Muzaffarabad. She was laid to rest on Tuesday. In another incident, a loaded truck skidded off the road near Tahjyan in upper Neelum Valley killing one of the occupants on the spot. The deceased was identified as Bashir Mir and was laid to rest in his village on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a van ran over a 10-year-old school student in Jatalan, Mirpur. Tayyab Hussain, a fourth grade student was crossing a road in limits of the Alibeg Police Station when a speeding van hit him. The driver managed to escape from the scene.
