Springboard: 'JI rally will be stepping stone for real change'

Party's Karachi chief wants people to work for Islamic laws in country

KARACHI:
The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) rally at Minar-e-Pakistan will prove a stepping stone in bringing about real change in the country, said JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing a youth rally organised by Shabab-e-Milli, the party's youth wing, at Teen Talwar on Sunday.

"The honest and competent leadership of JI can bring change to the country," he claimed. "Pakistan was created on the basis of Islamic ideology, but after the demise of the Quaid, the feudal families and the bureaucracy failed to guide the country accordingly."

He said that he hoped that the people of Pakistan, and especially the youth, will play their role in implementing laws in the country and uprooting the feudal system.

Meanwhile, Shabab-e-Milli Sindh president Azeem Baloch said that the youth wing was at the forefront of Islamic movements and was working to foster awareness of Islamic teachings among the youth.

"The congregation at Minar-e-Pakistan will be the biggest youth congregation, with the participation of millions of youngsters," he claimed.

"JI is striving hard to impose Islamic laws in the country and will be successful in this endeavor," added JI Karachi naib ameer Osama Razi.

"The nation is well aware of the artificial slogans of change," said Shabab-e-Milli Karachi president Saifuddin. "People are fed up of the policies of the ruling elite."
