K-Electric defeat Afghan FC 2-0
Last year’s runners-up climb to fourth in PPFL table.

K-Electric registered their fifth win in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) as they defeated Afghan FC 2-0 in Lahore yesterday.
Muhammad Rasool scored the opening goal in the 18th minute of the match as K-Electric led 1-0 at the interval. Meanwhile, Muhammad Jalal sealed the win for the Karachi-based side in the second minute of extra-time in the second half.
K-Electric’s Nigerian striker Sunday Obiyuni was declared the man of the match for his performance against Afghan FC.
K-Electric, last year’s runners-up, climbed to fourth place with 17 points after nine matches, while Afghan FC slumped to the seventh spot after playing 13 matches.
