Unidentified armed men attacked the residence of Khurram Waris, the in-charge of Sindh Police's Crime Investigation Department, on main Saba Avenue in Defence on Friday night.
The Darakhshan police have registered FIR No 606/2014 on the complaint of police constable Mirajuddin under 353 and 324/34 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Pakistan.

Unidentified armed men attacked the residence of Khurram Waris, the in-charge of Sindh Police's Crime Investigation Department, on main Saba Avenue in Defence on Friday night.
According to Darakhshan SHO Ahsan Zulfiqar, two armed men dressed in shalwar kameez opened fire at Waris' house and family car at around 2am. He said that a security guard retaliated and fired back but the attackers managed to escape from the spot. Waris was not at home when the incident happened.
The incident reportedly occurred when Waris' family returned home and the security guard opened the gate for the car. The attackers approached the family with pistols and opened fire when the security guard warned them to move away, striking the car's front door and the house gate. The assailants fled to their car and fired at the house when the guard returned fire. No one was injured in the attack.
